Elsie: week 4

We have hit the big 1 month birthday! She has grown so much this week. I told Trammel that one day she was my peanut and the next she was my chunk. She is starting to be awake more during the day and have longer stretches of sleep at night (woohoo!). I put her down for a nap in her crib this week. She slept in there for about an hour. It was great progress. She has got into this funny habit of literally sleeping with one eye open. It's a little freaky, but totally adorable.
Elsie has grown so much this week that we have decided to move her up to size one diapers as soon as this pack of newborns are gone. Bittersweet.... She's not a newborn anymore. However, she is still rocking the newborn clothes....for this week anyway. She has become a little stubborn this week (like her mom and dad already). She doesn't like to burp. She doesn't like to be rocked to sleep. She wont cry, but she will hold those eyes open as big as she can get them. Refusing to give in. As soon as I stand up and walk to the living room though she is out! We are thrilled with being this little girl's parents. We look forward to seeing her smile (on purpose) soon!
